  3. Acid+ (powder), acid membrane cleaning product (citric acid) - 25 lb
    CA$125.00

Acid+ dissolves mineral waste. Clean with a pH of 3 in mind; do not go below 3.

It is important to perform Acid+ cleanings throughout the season. This is recommended when iron and manganese are visually present (colored deposits in the flow meter). It is also suggested to apply acid one third of the way through the season; this is when the sap tends to be full of minerals. Note that the higher the concentration, the more minerals the membranes will accumulate. You will therefore need to perform more acid washes.

  4. Oxi (liquid), acid membrane cleaning product UN3149 - 10L (2.64 US gal.)

OXI+ prevents biofouling by neutralizing bacteria. pH measurement is not important during an OXI+. After an acid wash, please do a basic soap wash, then rinse. Note: NEVER do an OXI+ without first doing a basic soap wash. Temperature is very important in this process. NEVER exceed 23.3°C or 74°F. You will need to manually shut down the RO when it reaches 23.3°C (74°F). OXI+ cleaning is optimal when the membrane is soaked for 24 to 48 hours.
